Music On Main Street showcases a diverse lineup of musical talents, from pop, oldies, rock, to contemporary music every Friday night from 7-9 pm. Put on your dancing shoes and head to Music On Main Street for some good toe tapping music, where there is a dance area in front of the stage.

 June 12 and 13, from 10 a.m.-11 p.m.- Blue Ridge Barbecue & Music Festival

Annual Festival that is a sanctioned event where cook teams from across the US compete; live music, kids fun park, & Foothills Craft Fair are some of the things you will see here.  Plus the amount of BBQ you can eat!  This event is held at Harmon Field in Tryon  www.blueridgebbqfestival.com

July 4:   Independence Day Fireworks Display

Independence Day Fireworks Display, at dark, fireworks may be viewed from downtown Hendersonville and the south side of town near the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Hwy. 276, a large red balloon will be launched the morning of the 4th to signify visibility of the fireworks show, if you can see the balloon, you can see the fireworks from your location; www.hendersoncountync.org/recreation.  Plus there is a concert downtown.  You can listen to music and watch the fireworks.

July 6 – August 10, 2015, Every Monday Night, 7:00pm – 9:00pm: Annual Street Dances

95th Annual Street Dances held at the Visitors Information Center-201 S. Main Street, 7-9 PM, featuring mountain heritage bluegrass music, clogging and square dancing, bring a chair.  This event is held every Monday through August 12.   www.historichendersonville.org.

July 10-12: Carolina Mountain Ribfest

Labor Day Weekend:   Apple Festival

The North Carolina Apple Festival is held annually over Labor Day Weekend in Hendersonville, North Carolina. It has been Western North Carolina’s Premier Family Festival for over 60 years.  You can enjoy 4 days of fun including one of the most best known Street Fairs in the Carolinas with Freshly Picked Apples, Arts & Crafts, Festival Food and FREE Entertainment at the Historic Courthouse on Hendersonville’s Beautiful Main Street.

The entire festival is just a couple blocks from the Claddagh Inn.  And the parade goes right in front of the inn.  You can sit comfortably on the wide porch and watch it all with a nice cool drink.  It doesn’t get any better.  Park your car and walk to everything.  There is a two night minimum stay required during this weekend due to the fact of the many people coming to town for the festival.  Reserve your room early!

October: Fall Leaves

The month of October is the best time to view the beautiful fall leaves in the mountains of North Carolina.  We are a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as Pisgah Forest and Lake Lure.  The views are breathtaking.  Rooms book very quickly in October so make sure you reserve your room early!

October 23-25:  Fall Harvest Days

Fall Harvest Days is held at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center Fairgrounds.  It is the largest show in Western NC featuring crafters, demonstrations, farm tools, antique engines, antique tractor pulls & swap meet.  Held rain or shine, www.applecountry.org.

October 30-31 & Nov. 1:  Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair

November 6, 2015–January 10, 2016:  Christmas at Biltmore

Christmas at Biltmore Daytime Celebration.  America’s largest home is decorated with dozens of Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths, bows, and poinsettias, miles of evergreen garland, and thousands of ornaments from 9 AM-4:30 PM, www.biltmore.com.
